This is a fine PAIR of vintage Edinburgh Crystal tall red wine glasses.
The KING JAMES pattern is a probably one of the most stunning and fancy in the Edinburgh Crystal range. It is also a harder to find one - probably as it was always difficult to make and always an expensive purchase. It was only made as well for a short period of time between 2005 - 2006 before being discontinued.
The bowl is covered all over with the most intricate decorations and I especially love the faceted foot. Each has the customary engraved star on the base of each glass.
The price here is for one pair - - but I have other pairs listed in my store as well (we also have some slightly larger water goblet ones for red wine, each size is photographed in my last image).
As you can see, these are very large goblets and would be good for a substantial glass of wine. These ones are in perfect condition with no damages. They looks fabulous and great glasses for a special occasion or celebration. They are not marked with a Edinburgh Crystal mark on the base - but they are top quality pieces by them.
This one measures 8 1/2 inches in height. The rim has a diameter of 3 5/8 inches. The foot is 3 3/8 inches. When tapped it has a beautiful ring, which is a mark of quality.
This large size is hard to source and these are being sold at a fair price. I am listing these at £80 each glass.

History:
The Edinburgh and Leith Flint Glassworks was established in the 1860's at Leith Walk Glassworks and later at Norton Park in Edinburgh.
In 1921 the glassworks became part of Webbs Crystal Glass Company. In 1955, The Edinburgh and Leith Glassworks became Edinburgh Crystal, and the next decade saw further expansion and eventually the demolition of the old glassworks at Norton Park and new premises at Penicuik 10 miles south of Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Crystal went into administration in July 2006. Although the brand was taken over by the Waterford / Wedgwood Group the factory no longer exists and the brand is now discontinued.
