This is a fine item to add to your collection of souvenirs from International Word's Fairs.
This is a nice 1930s fine scarf that is decorated all over with images of all the buildings and scenes that you might have found at the 1939 World Fair in New York.
The main colour of the scarf is a rich claret red with blue borders. It is then embellished with colourful representations of the visitors and exhibition buildings - all of which are named on the design.
It is a fine material - not sure if it is silk - but it has a silky feel. It is not a large scarf - and measures 20 inches x 19 inches. It might be better if you ironed out any creasing and framed it as a decorative item or artwork.
It is in excellent condition with no holes or nasty staining.
These textiles are now highly collectable and this is reflected in my asking price.
