This is a very large vintage pottery snub nose rabbit. At first glance Mr Bunny appears to have been made by Sylvac - but if you look on the base - you will not see the Sylvac mark and just the word ENGLAND and the Size Number 00. This is not a Sylvac issue or model number.
On further investigation I have found that he is a rare largest size rabbit made by Delcroft Pottery.
Delcroft rabbits of this size are rare and do not come up for sale that often - and this stonking largest size certainly is very hard to source.
He is a bit of a showstopper. His dimensions are: Overall Height is 12 1/2 inches (this is 2 inches bigger than the largest Sylvac one). He is 9 inches wide and with a depth of 6 1/4 inches. Unpacked he comes in at 2.2 kg - which is a good weight for a rabbit!
I have taken lots of images for your inspection. As you can see he is beige in colour and with no damages to show on display. He has no hairlines or chips on his body. There is however a very fine and short hairline on the base - as photographed. It is stable and indeed hardly visible and certainly not on display. He is nearly 70 years old - and wearing better than me! Of course, this has been taken into account with my pricing.
