Alfred Meakin produced a number of series with seaside themes. They are all now harder to find mid-century designs.
Amongst the seaside themes produced by Meakin were Fisherman’s Cove, Polperro, Regatta, Brixham, Clovelly, St. Ives, and Nice.
My plates on offer here from the REGATTA pattern. They are very rare and now difficult to source. They are in good vintage condition - a tiny bit of rubbing to the gilding on one (as photographed) - but otherwise fine and all display well. No chips, cracks or crazing to the glaze.
All of Meakin's seaside patterns are stylistically very similar and often use similar motifs in similar colours. Some of the wares are back-stamped with a colourful stamp and the name of the design, other times just the Alfred Meakin stamp.
I am selling these as four together:
We have three side plates: 6 inches in diameter and a larger sandwich plate which is 10 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches.
They are priced as follows: £20 for each of the side plates. The larger serving plate is £25. This takes into account the rarity of these patterns.
Postage will be charged at only £5.50 and the items will be sent to you with Royal Mail Recorded post. This will be applied at the checkout.
