On offer is attractive vintage 1970s Delphis Poole Dish.
This is a larger sized pin dish - with a new unusual bright yellow background - with random abstract shapes as decoration.
The Delphis range was heavily influenced by modern design and was introduced by the manager of Poole's 'making department' potter Guy Sydenham in conjunction with company designer, Robert Jefferson.
Delphis wares are often bright and jazzy in colour and design.
Each design is made by using a black wax resist with freely drawn lines - and then filled with vibrantly coloured glazes.
It measures just over 6 1/4 inches at the base and is 5 3/4 inches in height.
Fully marked to the back, as photographed. We cant see the painter's mark as there is a plate hanger sticker on the back - so that you can hang this on your wall for display (I used to have this hanging on my own wall at home).
In good condition with no chips or cracks - any bright white marks in my photographs are not on the plates, these are just reflections caused by the very glossy glaze on each plate.
HAPPY TO POST INTERNATIONALLY, PLEASE ASK FORA POSTAL QUOTE OUTSIDE OF THE UK.
