These are a stylish pair of vintage Hornsea Pottery Espresso cups and saucers.
The pattern is called Midas and it was introduced in 1981. It features a gold screen-printed abstract pattern on a matt black ground on the exterior. The inside of each cup is glossy white. The saucers are glossy white with a black and gold border picking up the design from the cups. I love the shape of the handles on the cups.
The cups is 3 inches in height and have a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The saucers as 5 1/4 inches in diameter.
All pieces are in perfect condition. I will be sending this 2nd Class Standard with the Royal Mail to keep your postage costs down.
