![1960s Finnish Design: GA3 Arabia Pottery Teapot in Matte White. Designed by Ulla Procope](http://www.iconicedinburgh.co.uk/cdn/shop/files/14012025_0059_{width}x.jpg?v=1736939438)
This is a stylish vintage 1960s Scandinavian teapot.
It was designed by Ulla Procope for the Arabia Pottery firm - who are based in Helsinki in Finland.
This is a nice larger size and will easily make about 4 nice large cups of tea.
It has a matt finish to the glaze - in good condition with no nasty scratches to it. There are also no chips or cracks. Nice and clean inside - the spout is whole without damages. My pot has a faint printed Arabia mark on the base and is dated 1969.
Has original rattan / cane handle - this is in pretty good condition - with no wear to the cane section where it hooks onto the main body section at the side.
Height: just over 6 inches from base to top of lid. From spout to rear of the pot is about 8 1/2 inches.
These Scandinavian minimalistic designs are now getting harder to find in such fine condition.
HISTORY: The Arabia’s GA model teapot was designed by Ulla Procopé in 1955. The rattan handle teapot was in production until 1972. GA teapots were manufactured in two sizes. The smaller teapot (GA1) has a capacity of 0.7 L and the larger one (GA3) has a capacity of 1.6 L. The teapots were made in brown, black and white and completed with either a matte or glossy glaze.
Due to the size and weight of the pot - we would have to carefully pack to send to you in the UK with Parcelforce24. This will be just over £10 and applied to your order at the checkout.
