These are a set of six matched Edinburgh Crystal Millennium Short Stemmed Wine Glasses (officially classified as low water goblets).
These glasses are hard to source and are in lovely condition. They have no issues, no chips, cracks or staining. They are in the special Millennium Pattern (2000). The pattern combines a swag cut, raised diamond cut and French cut to form a distinctive M.
These glasses were made to celebrate the Millennium - and have a nice large bowl which is more suited to modern drinking fashions for sparkling Proseccos etc. The stem is short - and makes it easier for the clumsy imbiber to handle.
The pattern etched into each glass is a very attractive pattern. Each glass is very chunky and the crystal is nice and thick. I loved the faceted edges around each foot and the deeply engraved star on the base.
They are all in perfect vintage condition - practically unused and as new. They are hard to find patterns - being made for only one year. So my price is certainly a most fair one. I am listing each glass at £30 - which is a bargain!
Each glass is 5 7.8 inches in height. The rim has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. The foot is 2 1/2 inches. They are 430 grams each. They do not appear to be signed - but one has an old paper label on the foot, as photographed.
