This is another interesting vintage American Madonna or Virgin Mary Statue that I have in my Iconic Edinburgh online store.
This one is made of terracotta pottery and was made at the Grail Pottery in Grailville, Loveland, Ohio, USA
The figurine shows Mary in a position of adoration - and she is probably shown looking down at the Christ Child. She shows an expression of motherly love.
As you can see from my photographs - the figurine is in excellent vintage condition with no damages or losses.
It still has inside its original paper label and has an impressed copyright signature on the reverse.
She is a great model and looks lovely on display in a domestic interior. My model is listed at a very fair price - you do not find these sculptural pieces so regularly in the UK.
Dimensions: 11 1/2 inches in height and at the widest point she is 6 1/2 inches.
There is a good bit of weight to my model - and unpacked it is 2.7 kg.
Due to the weight of many Grail Pottery pieces made in the States - it is rare to find these for sale often in the UK - and certainly not in such fine condition.
