This is a rare survivor and in such lovely condition, probably late 1960s or 1970s in date.
This is a red leather duffle bag which you might sling of your shoulder, as photographed. The colour is just lovely and I love the Native American influenced decorations.
It is nice and clean and the leather is in good condition.
You more often find ones made of a thick cloth material - so these leather ones are a bit more special and rare.
Great bag - for throwing in a wee beach towel and swimsuit - and going along to the beach with. Also handy for country picnics and rambling - as it will hold a flask or big bottle of water, snacks, maps and other such items. There are are five open pockets on the sides near the base to keep thing like maps, sunglasses in - and one with a flap clover that closes with a pressure stud. Each pocket has a decorative flower head leather decoration on it. The main body of the bag has a stitched diamond pattern embellished with white strips of leather fed in and out of punched holes.
The diameter of the base is 9 inches and the height is 14 inches.
