Heathfield & Co are best known for their range of luxury table or bedside lamps. They are based at their workshop at Tonbridge in Kent and have recently opened up a new showroom at the Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour.
Many of their contemporary table lamps are in some of the country's finest upmarket hotels. Heathfield is a family run business andhas been a trusted supplier to renowned interior designers for over 40 years
These lamps are being sold as a matching pair. One retains its Heathfield & Co silver sticker on the base, The other sticker seems to be missing.
My pair of lamps are in lovely condition with no damages (except for the missing sticker on the base of one). They are being sold without shades - but it easy for you to get a simple modern shade to suit your interior. I think simple ice white drum shades might be the best choice.
Each lamp has a square chrome base from which issues a tall heavy chrome or column. The edge of the base curves upwards. Onto the column are placed six solid crystal balls. The one at the bottom is the largest with a diameter of 3 inches. They above are another five crystal ball they all measure 2 1/4 inches in diameter. In between each clear crystal ball is a shaped chrome disk or collar (a sign of quality and Heathfield's meticulous attention to detail). There is a chrome bulb holder at the top of each crystal column - with an on / off switch on the holder - to allow you to switch off the lamp from your desktop.
The overall height of the lamp is 20 inches. The chrome base is 4 inches square. Each lamp is 2.6 kg each in weight - so nice heavy pieces that wont topple over. Each has been rewired for your safety and have a long length of cable - about 2 metres in length.
They are certainly very stylish and will look so fabulous in a contemporary minimalistic interior. I think that the design is now discontinued and these Heathfield & Co Crystal lamps are now difficult to source.
My asking price for the pair is a very fair one and reflects the excellent condition of the lamps, their tall size, and also the sheer quality and rarity of this particular design.
