This is a stunning antique Arts and Crafts pendant light.
It dates to the early 20th century, probably dating to around 1905.
It is unsigned but is reminiscent of similar designs by Jesson Birkett.
It is a truly stunning piece and listed at a fair price. It will certainly be a showstopper in an Edwardian period interior.
Dimensions: The main body of the shade measures from the top of the cone to the tip: is 11 inches. The diameter of the cone section is 12 inches.
The length of the chain is 34 inches (it can of course be shortened if required).
The full length of the light fitting from the ceiling rose to the tip of the cone finial is 44 inches.
The ceiling rose is 3 1/2 inches in diameter.
The shades measure 5 1/4 inches in height. The diameter is 4 1/2 inches. The bulb holder aperture is 1 1/8 inches (this is standard UK dimensions).
It has been fully re-wired with antique gold-coloured cloth three-cord cable - and is fully earthed.
