This is a lovely silver-plated candle holder. It was retailed by the Danish company A.P Berg in the 1960s. A.P. Berg was a Danish company based in Assens on the island of Funen in the south of Denmark. It was founded in the late 1950s they are particularly famous for their candlesticks and candle holders of various designs. They ceased trading in the early 1980s.
My candleholder is designed to hold three thin Danish candles. It is in fine condition with no losses to the silver plate, and it sold in a nice clean condition.
The candleholder is designed to hold three small candles. It has three sconces with flattened drip pans. Each sconce sits on silvered semi-circle hoops as photographed. It is a good entry piece to collecting Scandinavian metalware - and would look good in a modern Scandi-inspired interior.
It is fully marked on the base: Silverplate / Berg. Denmark. It also has the B logo and an image of a Viking Warrior over the number 90. This number refers to the high quality of the silver plating.
Dimensions: The overall length is 9 inches. The height at the highest point is 2 3/4 inches. The diameter of the sconce aperture is just under 1/2 inch (but you could trim down the bottom of any thinner candle of fit in).
