This is another rare little collectable perfume bottle and novelty bakelite case. The fragrance is called Californian Poppy and it was made by Atkinson's of London. It dates to the 1930s.
The bottle comes in a little brown early plastic box that takes the form of a grand piano. The top of the piano lifts up to reveal the miniature bottle inside. There are only remnants of the perfume inside the bottle.
This is probably more of an item for the specialist collector of vintage perfume bottles or early plastic novelties. I have never seen another with original cardboard retail box and with the bottle inside.
The piano case comes in its original box - this is rare to have survived - but is slightly shabby with some age spotting to the cardboard. I have taken lots of image of all items for your inspection.
The most important thing is the grand piano is in excellent condition with no damages. This one is made in a brown bakelite and stands of three tiny tapering legs - but I believe that they made other one in pastel colours. It has a patent number for the year 1937 on the base, as photographed.
The piano is 3 inches wide; 2 3/4 inches long and with a height of 1 1/2 inches.
