This is another rare and collectable miniature perfume bottle. The fragrance is called Mischief and it was made by Savilles. It dates to around 1935.
The little bottle is made of black glass and is very Art Deco in design. The bottle is in excellent condition with no damages. It measures 3 cm (1 1/4 inches) wide. It is 1 cm in depth (1/2 inches) and has a height of 4.5 cm (1 3/4 inches). The cap is metal - and appears to be still sealed - I can just make out that the bottle is full of perfume inside.
This item is so unusual - as here the little perfume bottle was presented for sale in a cake of Saville's soap - with a cut out section in the round shaped bar to hold the bottle in place. The soap is also carved with the word "Mischief". It is still in its original retail box - with hard plastic base and clear plastic domed lid - printed in gold with details of the contents. There is no damage to the plastic box - and everything is in such lovely vintage condition - how often do you see a 90 year old bar of soap ? actually I know a few folk who might have one - being noted soap dodgers! lol
If you collect vintage perfumery items - you will know just how rare it is to find the bottle with the original soap. I certainly cant find another one.
