This is a fine old Art Deco 1930s glass plafonnier lampshade.
It is an opaque white colour - which is speckled in the glass with tutti-frutti colours - mainly random spots or large blotches of blush pink, rose red and orange. It colours are certainly most attractive on this one. This shade is very like the other one that I have on offer in my online store - it has fewer red blotches in the glass - Please compare the images as part of the description.
This one is particularly stunning and there is a raised shallow dome shape on the base which forms a little decorative feature when viewed from below.
Comes with hanging chains and a triple hook ceiling fitting for the three chains which attach to the hanging clips on the shade. These hanging fitments are new, modern replacements and I have added them to the shade "for free".
These lights are often called goldfish bowl shades - and are also known by their cheeky nickname as a "flycatcher" shade.
The shade is in excellent condition with no chips, nibbles or cracks.
It is a nice compact size ideal for more modern interiors. It has a diameter of 10 inches (30 cm) and a height of just 4 1/2 inches.
It will be sent to you in the UK using Parcelforce48 postage - which is a tracked service. This will cost £10 in the UK - and applied to your order at the checkout.
