These are lovely genuine 1930s cast metal bookends - they form a match with my lovely Nuart Frankart Deco Lady Table Lamp that is also listed on my site. As a set - they are very rare.
The lamp was made by the American company, Nuart-Frankart and I am presuming that these matching bookends are made by the same manufacturer.
They are genuine 1920s / 1930s ones and in good condition for their age. . Of course - they will look just amazing in a Deco boudoir or sitting room. These are rare survivors and they always fetch high prices when sold.
The figures of the kneeling ladies are made of spelter and have been patinated with a matt chrome silver-tone finish. The base is a pale green alabaster.
CONDITION: They are in fine vintage condition - given that they are now nearly 100 years old. Generally, the body areas of the figures are without issue, there is one little scratch to the head of one figure (but that is really the only blemish). There are tiny nibbles to the upper edge of the alabaster base - but nothing disfiguring. I have taken a lot of images for your inspection - so you can look at these to assess each bookend.
Dimensions: They are 5 1/2 inches in height. The base is 5 1/4 inches in length and 4 1/2 inches wide.
The pair is 2.4 kg unpacked.
It will have to be sent to you only in the UK due to the fragility of the lamp. It will be sent very, very carefully packed and sent with Parcelforce24. This will be charged at £10 and applied to your order at the checkout.
