This is what is popularly know as a Cobra phone - due to its shape which seems to resemble the head and body of a hooded cobra.
TESTED AND WORKING. It is in good vintage condition with no damages. The plug and phone will work with modern BT sockets. I have tested this on a home BT line - and it makes calls, rings and you can clearly hear the voice of people calling you. The fact that it is in excellent vintage working condition is reflected in my asking price. There is a little section on the base where you might write your phone number: someone in the distant past has written 333 which I suspect that this might be an extension number. I have photographed this for you.
The red plastic of the body is nice and shiny and the dial and on / off button on the base is fully functioning. It has modern wiring - so you can use it at home.
It is not a replica but a genuine 1950s issue.

HISTORY: The Ericofon, also known as the Cobra phone, is a one-piece telephone designed by the LM Ericsson Company of Sweden. The idea of creating a telephone in one piece was a long-standing dream of telephone makers, and Ericsson succeeded in making it a reality after learning about a German experiment by Siemens & Halske. The project, initially titled Erifon, was led by Hugo Blomberg and later involved Ralph Lysell, who is considered one of the pioneers in Swedish industrial design.
The Ericofon marked a maor shift in telephone design with its compact one-piece design, integration of speaker and receiver, and a unique hidden dial. The phone was initially designed in 1941 but not manufactured until 1954, using the new thermoplastic ABS, which allowed for a variety of colors. The Ericofon's design, ease of handling, and colorful options represented a significant departure from the traditional black Bakelite telephones and signaled a shift towards viewing telephones as consumer products rather than just functional devices.
