K This is a rarer advertising item for Babycham and it dates to the 1970s.
It is a circular drinks tray for serving your coupes full of Babycham to your guests. There is a little thumb piece which is raised and features an image of a 70s deer.
It is marked MELAMINE on the back - and it also has a little in-built hanging notch so that you can pop the tray on your wall on a little nail or hook and just lift it off when needed.
It is a strange thing and reminds me a little of those large glam-rock popstar badges that you got back in the 70s. The image is filtered with a hazy focus - so that the girl in the image is without harsh lines or blemish. They really loved these type of grainy fashion images in the early 1970s.
This must be the Babycham version of the ladies used by Tennants to advertise their products at this time. Our lady sure looks like she is enjoying her refreshment.
My tray is in excellent condition with no scuffs or damages.
It is a nice large size. Not many of these were made or indeed have survived. It would be a nice addition to your vintage drinks or Babycham collection.
The diameter is 12 inches. The edge of the is 3 /4 inch. The circular insert section with the decoration on it is 9 1/2 inches.
