This is certainly a very stylish paperweight to add to your collection.
It was made by the glass maestro at Caithness Glass, Colin Terris (1937 - 2006). It is a pretty one with lots of pastel colours and it is called CAPRICE (as annotated on the etched inscription on the base). It is No. 429 from a limited edition of 750 weights. It dates to 1983 (CT 314).
It is a delicate floral one and a nice large size. The weight has a clear base which has been sprinkled with gold flecks - the this issues the flower - the bottom layer of petals are wispy, ribbon like yellow ones - and from the centre comes the flower. It looks a little like a crocus - the external petals are a rose pink and the centre is a French blue trumpet.
Being a slightly earlier large Terris weight - and because of this it is has a slightly higher price tag on it. It is in perfect condition with no damages.
The paperweight measures 2 3/4 inches in height with a diameter of 3 inches. It is 620 grams in weight.
It will cost £5.50 to send to the UK with Royal Mail Recorded. This will be applied at the checkout stage.
