This is probably a more specialist item for the collector of novelty cigarette cases.
This lovely case dates to the 1950s and was made by Mascot - who also made powder compact.
It is in lovely vintage condition, as you can see in my images.
The case closes with a little catch which is nice and secure.
The interior has op-art gold swirls of engine turned decoration which almost moves about when you swivel the case about.
There is the original metal band inside to keep your cigarettes in place - and it is inscribed Mascot.
The base has raised parallel lines as a decorative touch. Inside and out, the gold is all nice and shiny.
The lid is matt gold-tone colour onto which we have the original painted image.
The image shows two girls one carrying a parasol walking down a French street. It is a hot summer's day and a big fireball of golden sun is shown in the sky.
It is certainly in the most excellent condition, with an original felt case and original card box - this is reflected in my asking price for this very attractive little case.
Sadly - being an older cigarette case - it will no longer hold more modern king-size cigarettes - and is also a tad too small to function as a business card case (unless to trim the edges of your cards just a little).
External dimensions are three inches square. So probably an item to add to a specialist's collection.
Postage in the UK will cost £4.95 with Royal Mail Recorded Small Parcel Delivery Service - this will be applied to your order at the checkout.
