This is a vintage powder compact for loose face powder.
It was made by a company called MASCOT. It dates to the late 1950s or early 1960s.
It is unused. It is in a like-new condition - so no hygiene issues with it.
The main body is gold-tone. The lid is decorated with a thin sliver of marblised lucite - which looks so lovely when caught in the light. This lucite cover is decorated with two sweet pink roses.
The mirror inside the lid is clean and without marks or spots on the surface. The inside is designed to hold loose - rather than pressed - powder. It has its original gauze sifter inside - and it also has an internal gold lid which can be raised and then pressed tight to keep the powder contents in place.
The compact measures 7.5 cm (3 inches) square
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
My asking price reflects its age and its fine condition.
It will be posted to you with Royal Mail postage in the UK.
