This is a most beautiful 1960s Art Glass prism cut vase made by Bengt Edenfalk (1924 - 2016) for the Swedish glass company Skruf Glasbruk.
Bengt Edenfalk first studied his craft with the celebrated Edward Hald at Orrefors glassworks and then at Stockholm College of Art from 1947 - 1952. He was Skrufs Glasbruks first artistic designer and worked there from 1952-78. He designed more than 70 different dishes for Skruf, including the following designs: Corona, Skandia, Old Sweden, Puck, and Bellman, among others.
Subsequently, he worked at Kosta Boda in 1978-89.
Examples of his work are in the National Museum, Stockholm.
My lovely Corona Vase is fully signed to the base.
It is navette shape in its section - and is 1.6 kg in weight. It is 7 ½ inches in height and with a width of 4 ¼ inches.
These Corona glass vases with their sophisticated diamond-cut designs around the body section, slice top rim and shaped foot are highly collectable and always command high prices.
The base is engraved 'Edenfalk Skruf Corona 10.
It is in excellent condition with no damage.
Sadly, due to its weight, I would be unable to send this lovely vase outside of the UK. It will cost £10 to post to you and it would have to be sent with Parcelforce24 recorded post.
