This is a stylish vase that was designed by the celebrated Danish designer, Per Lutken (1916 - 1998). He worked for Holmegaard from 1942 to 1998.
It is a very tall chimney vase of tubular form. It tapers very slightly from the base to the rim. The colour is clear drab olive-grey and this looks good in a Scandi-modern interior.
It was made for Holmegaard Glass and it is very minimalistic in styling. It is an earlier piece by Lutken and dates to the early 1960s. Indeed, it is signed and dated 1960 to the base, as photographed.
The vase has a tall tubular form with a narrower-formed neck. It looks a little like a tall chimney shape. The base is thick and made of dark olive green glass and the shape tapers to the rim - which has a rounded edge.
It is 14 1/2 inches in height and has a diameter of 2 1/2 inches at the top and the base is 3 inches.
The vase is in good vintage condition with no nasty chips, cracks or losses. It is listed at a very fair price for such a large piece of signed Per Lutken 60s Holmegaard Glass.
