This is a very rare vase which was designed by the celebrated Danish designer, Per Lutken.
It was made for Holmegaard Glass and it is very minimalistic in styling and I am assuming dates to the 1950s - but it has no inscribed date to confirm this.
A nice large place - it would certainly look fabulous in your Holmegaard glass collection.
It is fully signed to the base with an original etched signature and also the issue number for this shape / range 3167.
It seems to be a very rare piece - and as yet I have been unable to find another example like it.
The vase has a tall tubular form with a narrower formed neck.
The main body colour is a pale smoky grey tone - and the base area and neck are an attractive sea-green shade.
As mentioned a large piece with an overall height of 11 1/4 inches. The diameter of the main body section is just over 4 inches - and the neck is just under 2 1/2 inches.
Unpacked it is 1.3 kg
In excellent vintage condition with no damages.
My price reflects the rarity of this piece - it might even be a unique example. It was certainly not produced in large numbers.
A lovely piece of vintage Scandinavian glass by a renowned and collectable designer, and a great piece for display on your vintage teak bureau or Ladderex shelves.
