This is a stylish - almost Brutalist style - Scandinavian 1960's pale blue glass 'Bark' vase.
It was made by Swedish company Aseda, and designed by Bo Borgstrom.
Aseda Glasbruk was a Swedish glass factory that operated in the town of Åseda between 1947 and 1977. It was incorporated into the Royal Krona group in 1975; that company went into liquidation in 1977.
Åseda Glasbruk's chief designer was Bo Borgstrom, who graduated from Stockholm's Swedish School of Arts and Crafts in 1951. Borgstrom was widely acclaimed as a ceramics artist before joining Aseda in 1961.
This vase is tubular in shape and has long oblong raised shapes around the exterior.
It is a lovely subtle smoky sapphire blue colour.
Dimensions: 9 1/2 inches and with a diameter of 3 inches at widest point.
Weight unpacked is 600 grams.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
