This is a sweet little piece of Art Glass. It was made by the glass maestros Bob Crooks and Phil Attrill at First Glass.
Bob Crooks is one of Britain's most celebrated contemporary glassmakers. His work is always high quality and has been exhibited internationally at exhibitions in Italy, China, Scandinavia, Australia, and the USA - as well as at many prestigious galleries at home in the UK.
He first set up First Glass in 1990 at Newent, Gloucestershire. In 1994 the studio moved to Clapham London, and in 2002 he relocated to Devon.
This is a simple little First Glass cream or water jug. It is made of clear glass - I love the handle which takes the form of a little nautilus shell - and the detail is just exquisite. It would look very sweet as a small vase - would look great with a little bunch of freesias in it on display.
It is in perfect condition - and has an engraved signature "First Glass" on the base, as photographed.
Dimensions: the height of the jug is 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm). From spout to handle is 4 1/4 inches. The diameter of the main body is 2 3/4 inches.
