This is a fine and very attractive vintage Stuart Crystal wine decanter.
It dates to the first half of the 20th Century.
It is a first-quality signed decanter or carafe - great for storing wine - or perhaps water for your whisky.
It has a very substantial piece of crystal. It is a very busy Imperial Cut Decoration. There is a band of criss-cross shapes contained within parallel lines near the top of the main body section. Above and below are deep-cut abstract leaf patterns (that Stuart does so well!).
The neck has two rings and flares out at the top to accommodate the stopper. The stopper is a glorious mushroom-shaped one and this is original to the base.
It has a lightly etched signature on the base and you can make out the words Stuart / England (as photographed).
As you can see, it is in excellent and very clean vintage condition with no staining inside etc
My Stuart Crystal decanter is 9 inches in height (including the stopper) and at the widest point, it is 4 3/4 inches.
Unpacked it is 900 grams.
A fair asking price for this pretty vintage piece of crystal. UK Posting only. It will have to be sent with you as a Royal Mail Recorded (Medium Size) Parcel. This will cost £6.95 and applied to your order at the checkout.
