This is a more unusual pair of antique Victorian Staffordshire dogs in my Iconic Edinburgh Online store - they take the form of a pair of seated chimney spaniels.
They are slightly harder to find and are decorated with painted coppery-gold & olive lustre decorations as patches on each doggie. They have black painted eyes with blue surrounds. Their chains are also all hand-painted with matching copper-toned shiny lustre links.
They are genuine Victorian examples, and definitely NOT reproductions.
They are nicely modelled examples in good antique condition - and form a matched pair as created.
CONDITION: they are both in excellent condition with no nasty chips or damages - the lustre glaze is not rubbed and is nice and very shiny. There is no crazing or discolouration to the glaze. A very attractive large antique pair - you will not be disappointed with them.
One dog is slightly higher than the other - this is how they were designed as one is a boy doggie and the other a smaller girl dog.
There is an air vent hole on the back of each dog, as expected.
They are such a fine pair and will look fabulous on a country kitchen dresser or on a fireplace in a Victorian parlour.
I also have a smaller (9 inches) similar pair available for £125 in my store.
This larger pair is 12 ½ inches in height with a width of 9 ¾ inches and a depth of 4 ¼ inches. Each dog weighs about 2 kg.
UK Postage Only. Due to size and weight - they will have to be posted to you with Parcelforce24. This will cost about £14 and applied to your order at checkout.
SADLY I CANNOT POST OUTSIDE OF THE UK. The Parcel was probably cost about £150 due to the size and weight of the dogs. Sorry about that!
