This is a large piece of genuine Monart Glass dating to the 1930s.
It is a lovely bulbous ovoid shape. I love this dusky blue colour - it is not as sky-blue as appears in my images - the colour is more of a lilac / grey-blue shade. in the main body section. There are lots of black flecks around the rim - and masses of gold aventurine flakes. The flecks really twinkle in the light.
The raised central pontil is a typical Monart one - sadly it has no paper label.
It is certainly a beautiful example of traditional Scottish glass. I adore the rich very subtle blue and all the gold glitter. This shade would look perfect in modern interiors as well as period ones.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I have priced this to take into account its very attractive pink colour and all the gold flecks in this. It also has its original label. It looks so very pretty on display.
My vase measures 5 inches in height, and at the widest point, it is also 5 inches.
