This is a large piece of genuine Monart Glass dating to the 1930s.
It is a lovely bulbous ovoid shape. I love this dusky warm pink colour of the main body section. There are lots of black flecks around the rim - and masses of gold aventurine flakes. The flecks really twinkle in the light - and they get larger in size as they get nearer to the middle section of the vase.
The pontil is a typical Monart raised one - this has the paper label - which says that this is Shape A and Sive VIII
It is certainly a beautiful example of traditional Scottish glass. I adore the rich pink colour and all the gold glitter.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I have priced this to take into account its very attractive pink colour and all the gold flecks in this. It also has its original label. It looks so very pretty on display.
My vase measures 5 1/2 inches in height, and at the widest point, it is also 5 1/2 inches.
