This is a vintage 1970s Guzzini Style Cream / Mushroom Coloured Plastic & Chrome Globe Hanging Ceiling Light.
It is a good quality light and is possibly not fully Italian in origin, but probably British Made under license (probably by Prova).
This shade can only be used as a hanging ceiling shade - as the fitment is not suitable for a table lamp. It has an Italian Rolly rise and fall mechanism inside, as photographed. This is green in colour and marked Rolly.
It is certainly a fine vintage space-age globular shade. The plastic globe is in good clean condition without scratches, stains or burn distressed from heat from old bulbs. It has a rise-and-fall mechanism. It has a coiled cord and the Rolly mechanism inside allows the shade to be pulled down and raised up. The chrome cap on the outside where the cables goes into the shade it still nice and shiny but has a little bit of spotting / pitting caused with its age and use - this is common on these shades. You would not see this when the shade is in-situ.
The cable is curly around the main flex and covered with a black woven textile cloth. I think that it is a two-core flex.
Dimensions: The diameter is about 15 inches. The height of the shade section is 11 inches. The height from the top of the cable section to the bottom of the shade is currently about 27 inches - but it could be extended. I have taken all this into consideration with pricing.
The light is in pretty good vintage condition. Please note, to keep it in tip-top condition use a low-heat LED bulb - or a standard bulb no stronger than 60 watts.
It is an authentic vintage shade - indeed, I can confirm that it has been up in my loft all packed up for the last 20 years when I moved in.
I have included lots of images here on my listing so that you can get a good idea of all details and condition of this original vintage shade. It is certainly a lovely genuine 1970s British large modernist futuristic shade - you won't be disappointed with it.
Dimensions: The diameter at the widest point is 15 inches. The height is 10 inches. So a big one!
The size of my lovely shade makes it slightly more expensive to post - but it will be packed in a large sturdy box to ensure safety in transit. It will also be fully insured against loss or damage in transit.
