This is a little figurine of a shepherd holding a staff and with a little grey sheep or lamb at his feet. It is a more unusual model and is slightly harder to find one.
The shepherd has a fine embroidered waistcoat and holds his bonnet on his knee. He is resting and puts his foot on bit of banking and puts his weight on his staff. He gazes wistfully into the distance.
The fur of the sheep is textured and there a couple of bit of bocage on the model. It is in good condition with no nasty damages. There is a little loss on the edge of his hat - more of a speck really.
There is an air-hole on the base of the figurine rather on its back. It is a genuine antique example and is sold as such. It dates to the late 19th century.
