This is a lovely vintage model of a horse - probably a Shire type horse which would work on a farm - as he is more stocky in form with large hooves. It dates to the mid-1970s.
It is one of two identical models that I currently have in stock on my online store.
This is a harder to find larger model in the series. The horse is 8 inches in height. The horse's length is 8 1/4 inches and the depth of the figure is about 2 inches. The glass model is about 1 kg in weight.
It is a fine piece from the Kosta Boda glass from the Zoo Series - which features stylised animals - made in clear glass - often with flat backs. This stylised horse was designed by Bertil Vallien.
In excellent vintage condition with no damages.
As you can see from my photographs - the detailing and modelling are very detailed and certainly beautifully rendered.
A nice fair price for this vintage piece of collectable Swedish art glass.
