This is an attractive antique 19th century Staffordshire figurine, and it dates to around the 1880s.
The figurine of a couple of sweethearts sitting on a grassy knoll below a bough of intertwined branches.
There is a lot of symbolism going on here - the interlinked branches - and the little yellow love bird sitting on the hand of the gentlemen.
There is a little basket full of ripe fruits to the foot of the lady.
These Staffordshire potteries really loved Scottish couples - as the man wears a little kilt.
This figure is white in colour and glazed - there are some little touches of applied colours all over the figurine to some highlight areas, as photographed.
This one is in good condition with no damages. This figurine is a pretty one - but has simpler modelling to the form - this is reflected in the lower price for this one.
