This is a handy set of two matched pairs of vintage Edinburgh Crystal white wine glasses and large liqueur glasses.
On offer are two pairs of different sizes but of the same pattern (as photographed). One pair is for small glasses of white white and these are 7 1/8 inches in height with a rim of 2 1/2 inches and a foot of 2 3/8 inches ) £15 each. The other ones are slightly smaller and great for a liqueur like Baileys or perhaps port. That pair measures 6 1/4 inches in height with a rim of 2 1/8 inches and the foot is 2 inches. and listed at under £10 each.
I have photographed each one for your inspection. Please look at these as they form part of my description.
They are in excellent condition with no damage. They are not signed on the base - but are definitely the attractive and modernist Symphony pattern. This pattern has vertical cuts, a slender smooth stem and to trim, as shown below. This design is a harder to find one - and is perhaps a more contemporary one.
I have other glasses in this pattern listed online - please have a look at other ones on offer.
UK Postage will be with Royal Mail Recorded post. This will be a small size parcel and cost about £5.50. I will carefully pack up for you - so nothing gets broken in transit.
History: The Edinburgh and Leith Flint Glassworks was established in the 1860s at Leith Walk Glassworks and later at Norton Park in Edinburgh. In 1921 the glassworks became part of Webbs Crystal Glass Company.
In 1955, The Edinburgh and Leith Glassworks became Edinburgh Crystal, and the next decade saw further expansion and eventually the demolition of the old glassworks at Norton Park and new premises at Penicuik 10 miles south of Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Crystal went into administration in July 2006. Although the brand was taken over by the Waterford / Wedgwood Group the factory no longer exists and the brand is now discontinued.
The price to send four glasses will be capped at £5.50 this will be applied to your order at the checkout.
