These are a stunning set of vintage Edinburgh Crystal large wine glasses.
They are very tall measuring about 6 3/4 inches each. They are quite stunning - but I cannot find the pattern used - it is very close to the Embassy Pattern - but it is not an exact match to that pattern.
On offer here is the set of six as photographed. They all have an etched Edinburgh Scotland mark on the foot.
The foot is clear and plain - with no decoration. The stem of each glass has a faceted decorative knop in the centre. The bowl of the glass is bucket shaped with straight sides. The pattern has a criss-cross decoration to the base and above all around lots of little engraved fans with five upward engraved strokes forming each fan. Below the criss-cross design there are little vertical engraved spear shapes. It must be a less common pattern or one only produced for a short period.
They are nice large ones. Each is 6 3/4 inches in height. The diameter of the rim is just over 3 1/4 inches. The foot has a diameter of 3 inches. Each glass is 270 grams in weight. They would be great for more modern measures of red or white wine - perhaps for that cheeky Processo out on the patio with friends.
I am taking the lack of a pattern attribution into account with my pricing - as well as the lovely intricate pattern on the bowl. They are of course all in the most excellent vintage condition without damages and looking like new. I have taken lots of images of them for your inspection. I am asking £15 each for these fine vintage signed Scottish crystal glasses.
