This fabulous decanter - which is a beautiful piece of Edinburgh Crystal and complements the set of Gleneagles large whisky tumblers that I have listed on the website.
This is a ship's decanter with its flared flat base - the name comes from the shape which would not easily topple over if it was on a ship in choppy seas. This decanter is in the very attractive GLENEAGLES Pattern which was produced from 1978 - 2006. It was always a very popular and more modernist design. This shape and pattern are now hard to source. But a great item to store your malt - and serves to guests in the matching glasses.
The decanter is in good condition with no chips or cracks - the stopper is a pointed one with facets and fits snuggly into the neck of the decanter. I must point out there is a very very faint bit of clouding to the decanter to the base - but it disappears when the whisk is in it. I have priced it to take this into consideration.
Dimensions: The height is 10 1/2 inches. The diameter of the base is 7 1/4 inches.
It is signed on the base. A really nice decanter for £30 - and can be popped into the parcel beside the glasses for no extra cost. If you only want the decanter on its own - it will cost £10 to post to you with Parcelforce24 - as it has a good bit of weight to it - and is 2kg unpacked.
Free postage is offered in central Edinburgh.
