This is a nice set of six vintage Edinburgh Crystal chunky double old-fashioned tumblers. The are in the very attractive GLENEAGLES Pattern which was produced from 1978 - 2006. It was always a very popular and more modernist design.
These glasses are always sought after and great for having a wee dram - enough room for a large shot of malt and an iceberg of ice cubes. I also have a large ship's decanter listed in on my website in the Gleneagles pattern - it is a fine item - and great for keeping you whisky in - beside these glasses.
I have a near matched set of six glasses - there is a slight difference in them in that the deep engraved star decoration on the base is slightly different - three have the stars reaching right out to the edge - and the other three the star is contained within a margin. This is only noticeable if you are looking for the difference - which often happens on these glasses with them being hand-blown and the engraved decoration done individually on each by hand. This is reflected in my price.
I have listed them at a fair price of £15 for each glass. Only one of the set of six has been signed.
They are in excellent vintage condition with no damage to them - they are certainly fine glasses and in a pattern that I am particularly fond of.
These Double Old Fashioned tumblers measure as follows and would hold about 12 oz of liquid. The height of each glass is just over 3 5/8 inches. The diameter at the rim is 3 1/8 inches.
I have taken lots of photographs for your inspection (including the star on the foot of each one).
The have a bit of weight to them - and will be sent to you with Parcelforce24. This will cost about £10 and will be applied to your order at the checkout. I would be able to add the decanter in for the same postage cost. Free postage is offered in central Edinburgh.
