This is one of the larger vintage Steiff Bear's in my store. He is nearly 22 inches in height.
He is another classic bear (looking back at the design of an early 1902 bear - he has long arms and a pronounced hump). My teddy has movable joints, long auburn-coloured mohair fur and brown felt pads on his four paws.. He has a white label on his ear and the usual gold Steiff button. He also has a round paper elephant disk on his chest. He is a nice large size being near 22 inches in height (55 cm). He has black glass eyes and a moulded black wax nose. He comes from a limited edition of 7000. that were issued. He seems to have been a popular model with Steiff collectors in 2002.
He comes in his original box (it has a tiny hole in it, as photographed). His issue number is 06194 as annotated on his white ribbon on his side and on the certificate.
It is certainly a lovely bear - and of course in lovely clean "as-new" condition with no smells or dust on his fur (as with all my bears on my website). You will not be disappointed with it.
My price takes into account the bear's condition and indeed his large size - he looks so good on display! A great present for that special person - who will be able to treasure Mr Big Bear for years. Too good to keep in the box.. he needs a cuddle! He is listed at a very fair price.
