This is another fine vintage Steiff Bear. He is a classic bear - with movable joints, brown mohair fur and felt pads on his four paws.. He has a yellow label and button in his ear. I love him as he has a growler inside and makes a cute bear noise when he is titled.
This bear dates for around 2004 and was made as a special issue for the collector's club to raise awareness for breast cancer. He wears a little pin or badge on this ribbon with the awareness logo on it. Other bears with issued as Classic 1909 Bears with no badges.
As you can see from my photographs - he is an attractive bear - and is totally clean. My bear is in pristine condition and has been always kept in his box. He is in "as-new" condition with no smells or dust on his fur (as with all my bears on my website). You will not be disappointed with it.
This classic bear is a slightly larger size He is about 13 inches (35 cm) in height. He comes with his box but does not have his original certificate, but does have a Steiff collector's leaflet. I am not sure with the yellow ribbon that he would have been released with one - I think he might have had a paper tag but there is no longer one present. I have priced him to take this into account - the bears with the growlers are most sought after though!
He is Issue No. 000447. He is a lovely vintage bear which replicates the original one first issued back in 1909. This particular model is now retired.
