This is a very decorative Art Deco vase which was made by Crown Ducal - as marked to the base.
It was probably designed by Charlotte Rhead - but is not signed by her on the base.
The vase is a nice size for domestic display or use.
It is 6 3/4 inches in height.
The main body colour is a mottled grey and this is more evident to the inside. The main body also has raised ridges on the sides - which were made in the throwing of the pot.
The vase is covered with a glossy clear glazed - which as developed some little craquelure over the years - I have photographed this for you in extreme close up - but it looks much more pronounced in the photos than it does in "real life". You do need to look quite close up to see it.
The vase has two thin bands of pink to the top and bottom - and in the centre is a thicker band of pink flowers and leaves - typical of Rhead works - they are picked out in fine tube lines and then filled in with colour.
Certainly a very pretty little Crown Ducal vase - no chips or cracks; listed at a fair price and taking into consideration the craquelure to the glossy glaze.
