This is another special little item which is from my own personal collection and something that I have owned for many years.
This is a unique wall plaque which dates to around the 1950s.
It has holes in the back where you can pop it on your wall with a length of string - and there are two applied feet to the base to hold the plaque away from your wall and to sit nice and flush (a nice touch of quality).
The front of the plate shows an African lady preparing a meal and serving a guest
She is created in relief raised slightly from the background area of the plaque and then each raised section is coloured.
A unique mid-century piece and rather much of a little work of art made from terracotta coloured clay - and finished with a thick ebony coloured eggshell glaze.
The wall plate measures 8 x 6 ½ inches.
As you can see from my photographs - it is in excellent condition with no damages.
