This is an attractive Swedish wall plate designed by Gunnar Nylund in the 1970s.
These plates formed a series of images showing all the events and festivities taking plate at a rural Swedish village at Christmas.
The plate is 7 1/2 inches square and is in perfect condition with no damages - there is a little hole in the back to allow you to attach a string to hang on your wall.
This plate for 1974 shows a Swedish landscape - there is a church in the distance and a large star above - in the foreground a handsome moose and hound dog look on in wonder at the scene - I love this plate....
The detail in Nylund's designs is just exquisite and with their concentration of folk art images - these look good on display all year round.
This is an earlier plate in the series and is listed here at a fair price.
I have another two in my shop in the series - postal discounts apply for more than one item.
