This is a very pretty little brooch - which has a tiny hallmarked on the back for 9ct gold.
It is smaller in size - but just beautifully made with such fine attention to detail.
The brooch is very delicate in structure. It is made up of a fine gold ring or circular band at the back - onto which are little decorations of pearl flowerheads and amethyst chips. It certainly is very pretty and understated.
As you can see from my close up images - this is full of exquisite detail - and must have taken great skill on the part of the goldsmith to have made this.
The brooch is a fine antique example - full of Edwardian styling. It would look fabulous on a jacket lapel - or as a subtle embellishment to a simple black sweater or little black evening dress.
It is certainly "a wee gem" - it measures over an inch wide (2.5 cm)
It has a closed c-ring catch to the back.
It is in good condition with no damages or losses. Marked 9ct on the reverse of one of the flower petals - as shown in one image.
Listed at a very fair price for the craftsmanship in this pretty antique brooch.
