This is a charming little enamel label for a gin flask or decanter, and a harder antique one to find.
It is a lovely wee label and made of white enamel on a metal base - with little hand-painted decorations and title.
It is a good quality example and was probably made by Bilston in England, or Samson in Paris - it is hard to be sure.
It is in very good antique condition with no cracks or issues with the enamel.
It comes with its original metal hanging chain - which has darkened with age.
It measures 4 cm across by 2.5 cm in height - the height including chain is 10.5 cm
A lovely piece - probably for the specialist collector of decanter labels.
I have two similar ones in my online shop - these are of a later date but follow these 19th-century designs and are made of silver ( I have photographed the three in my store together for your interest).
