This is a fine decorative piece - and will look great on a mantlepiece or period Victorian interior.
It is slightly more unusual in that this piece was designed to hold a pocket watch or small travelling clock - and so act as a clock. There is a little semi-circular ceramic bracket on the back - to hold your watch in.
It is a nice large size measuring 10 3/4 inches in height. It is 8 inches wide and with a depth of 3 inches.
Unpacked it is 1.2 kg in weight.
Dating to around the 1880s.
The model shows a couple who are standing beside a bough coved with a fruiting vine. The structure has a pair of peacock birds on the top. It is certainly quirky and a highly decorative piece.
This is a lovely example which is in excellent antique condition and highly decorative - it is a genuine 19th-century model and NOT a modern reproduction.
SADLY DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THIS WEIGHT IT WOULD HAVE TO BE FOR POSTING ONLY TO UK ADDRESSES.
