This is a most substantial and large stoneware wall charger or wall plate by Susan Brittleton.
The plate is a large decorative one and measures some 13 1/2 inches in diameter and has a hanging wire on the back.
The reverse of the charger is incised with the potter's signature, as photographed.
A very stylish image with two abstract fish - and it certainly would look great in a seaside cottage.
The glaze and decoration are very delicate - and this allows the texture of the stoneware to be visible on the design itself.
An unusual work and a top quality one-off piece.
