These strange silver pictures used to be very popular in the 1970s - I had a few of these on my walls when I was an art student.
This one is a rather rare survivor now. It is an op-art image - made of different shades of silver shapes - and when you view it, the image moves about and all the shapes catch the light.
The effect is rather psychedelic. The image is made up of etched foil shapes which have been etched with tiny marks to make the light reflect in different ways. This created a dazzling (literally!) three-dimensional-looking op-art work. Many similar works were designed by the artist Patrick Dupre
This is in its original chrome frame. The frame is in good condition - with no dents to the moulding - just a tiny bit of rubbing to the top edge - but not disfiguring - it looks great on display.
It is also a smaller and more friendly size for both posting and the modern interior.
Dimensions: Frame size 42 x 42 cm. Image Size is 32.5 x 32.5 cm
It will be carefully packed up to post and this will be with Parcelforce24 - this will cost about £10 and applied to your order at the checkout.
