This is another lovely piece of vintage Brutalist / Modernist Scottish Silver in my store.
It takes the form of an abstract pendant with a long silver chain.
It is hallmarked with the letter D for the year 1978 and with the letters SM - which is probably for Schimacraft Silver (ROELOF SCHIPPER AND EILEEN MARR) of Glenelg. They specialized in the 1970s in making these amorphic modernist designs for pendants and brooches.
Dimensions: 4 cm in length and with a width of about 1.5 cm. The length of the chain is 23 inches. It has a ring clasp - but the pendant goes over your head easily - so that you don't have to faff about with the clasp section.
